The fifth edition of the Festival, dedicated to a healthy and conscious lifestyle, will have Stefano Mancuso and Fabio Brescacin as guests; we will talk about sustainability, dissemination of organic farming, plant intelligence

CORINALDO (AN) – Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October 2021 in Corinaldo, the Festival dedicated to a healthy and conscious lifestyle returns for the fifth edition. Two days organized by the Municipality of Corinaldo at the Goldoni Theater with guests Stefano Mancuso, founder of plant neurobiology, e Fabio Brescacine, president of the EcorNaturaSì group.

The filo ducting of the 2021 edition is “Regenerate the earth”, meetings and debates that tackle this issue in different ways and in different forms. The main emphasis is on the contribution of agriculture in its contrasting forms of climate change, seeds and in-depth studies that specifically concern the behavior of the plant world. The 2021 edition of the Sementi Festival focuses on certain “emergencies” that affect our present: the defense of the environment and the territory, the sustainability of the economy, the dissemination of healthy and conscious lifestyles, as well as specific which concern the distribution and marketing of organic products.

saturday 23 october at 6:00 p.m. at the Goldoni Theater the meeting “New challenges and frontiers of organic farming in Italy” with Fabio Brescacin, president of the EcorNaturaSì group, Sara Tomassini, president of the organic district of Terre Marchigiane and Anabio / Cia Marche and Bruno Sebastianelli, president of La Terre et le Sky.

Among the topics covered, the promotion of industrial organic in mass distribution and discounting, the forms of promotion of “real organic”, the development of a sustainable economy linked to agriculture, organic certification, the protection of small businesses. families able to protect the land and the landscape, transparency in the digital supply chain, defense of prices that allow farmers to live in dignity, ethical finance, legality and workers’ rights.

From 8:00 p.m. on the “Organic for one night” stage: the places participating in the initiative will adopt organic offers and menus to offer to the public of the Sementi Festival (by reservation – IAT 0717978636).

Sunday 24 October at 6:00 pm at the Goldoni Theater the meeting entitled “The intelligence of plants”. The presence of the plant neurobiologist at the Sementi Festival is of fundamental importance to frame the behaviors and the benefits that plant species can bring to agriculture and to the improvement of environmental problems. Stefano Mancuso is a passionate scientist and popularizer, one of the world’s leading authorities committed to studying a new truth about plants, intelligent and sensitive creatures capable of choosing, learning and remembering. Full Professor at the University of Florence and Full Professor at the Georgofili Academy, he heads the International Plant Neurobiology Laboratory with offices in Florence, Kitakyushu, Bonn and Paris. In 2010, he was the first Italian scientist to be invited as a speaker in a TED GLOBAL. In 2013, he released the award-winning bestseller Verde Brilliant (Giunti Editore). In 2014, he is the creator of PNAT (www.pnat.net), a start-up from the University of Florence for the creation of technologies inspired by plants. In 2016, he won the award from the Austrian Ministry of Science and Technology “Wissenschaftbuck des Jahres” for the best scientific essay of the year. In 2018, his book Plant Revolution won the Galileo Award 2018, the most prestigious award in scientific non-fiction.
