Karel Reichert was born on January 26, 1943 in Pilsen. His whole life has been linked to sports, especially handball. He has devoted himself to it since his youth, when he started in the Sokol Bolevec team. Through his favorite sport, he met his wife Jana, who also played handball, and together they had three beautiful daughters. Handball also allowed him to see a lot of people. After the end of his playing career, Karel began to actively train in the club HK Slavia VŠ Plzeň. A large number of great handball players have passed through his hands, who remember him not only as an excellent coach, but above all as a great person.
All of Mr. Reichert’s grandchildren are active in handball (three granddaughters even play in the top women’s competition!). Even though Karel was no longer involved in training for the past few years, he never missed a home game and never stopped giving training advice and tips on how to improve.
Mr. Karel Reichert died after a short serious illness at the age of 80.
In the hearts of all handball players and supporters, he will forever remain as a handball enthusiast, a great friend and a person respected by all.
The last farewell will take place on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. in the large ceremonial hall of the central cemetery in Pilsen.
