Weronica Nilsson, Agneta Larsson, Sema Söderhäll, Ebba Kilman, Charlotte Wessman and Sabina Lerne are all forced out of Åhléns as part of Ayad Al-Saffar’s takeover as owner and CEO.

The purchase of Åhléns was announced at the end of June and was approved by the Swedish Competition Authority at the end of July. The transaction closed on August 15.

In 2021, Åhlén’s loss increased from -331 million crowns to -152 million crowns, according to figures from Axel Johson, then owner.

The management team that is now allowed to leave the company is a relatively newly recruited team. Finance manager Sabina Lerne arrived in Åhléns in May. Agneta Larsson, HR work manager, arrived in Åhléns in January. Logistics Manager Selma Söderhäll started at Åhléns in September 2021. Marketing Manager Charlotte Wessman started in March 2021. COO Ebba Kilman arrived in Åhléns in August 2021. Communications Manager Weronica Nilsson has worked for Åhléns for several years.
