Could your favorite show win an Emmy? “Andor”, “Wednesday”, “The Last of Us” and “Succession” are among this year’s nominations.
Screenwriters are on strike, actors can strike at midnight – it’s a turbulent time in Hollywood, to say the least.
But you always have time for a little party and a gala, don’t you? Today we found out who has a chance at the Emmys – the biggest prize in the world of television, which is awarded this fall. An even more special year where it will be the 75th Emmy Awards. Nominees were selected from series that aired between June 2022 and May 2023.
Popular newcomers like “Wednesday” and “The Last of Us” landed multiple nominations, rivaling Emmy veterans like “Succession” and “Ted Lasso.”
Congratulations further to Alexander Skarsgård, nominated for the role of Swedish billionaire Lukas Matsson in “Succession”. In the category Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, he faces his colleagues Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun and Matthew MacFadyen from the same series. Skarsgård has an Emmy statuette from before, for the HBO series ‘Big Little Lies’ – is it time for another?
