Alingsås HK won the historic first at home in the second highest league. Tyresö Handboll also scored points in the 2023/24 series match, unlike his opponent Eskilstuna Guif.

Alingsås beat Huddinge in the newcomers’ meeting. The wonderful excitement was very much to the public’s liking and 532 spectators were able to fully applaud the blue players when Filippa Oderbrant scored 22-20 in the last minute.

Kajsa Lindberg Blohm threatened often until she scored seven goals and goalkeeper Sofia Sandberg’s saves after the break really contributed to the turnaround. Unfortunately, Sandberg had to stop the match in the last match due to an injury.

Huddinge scored five goals, Isa Ljungholm, and a spirited start (0-4 on the board) kept the away advantage for 35 minutes.

Maja Appelgren is back with news after a serious injury last year. The nine meters were essential while Guif’s other offensive was slowing down a little and the defensive offers were too numerous. Even though Appelgren opened wide areas with twelve own goals, Tyresö was successful and responded to the home team’s quest for reduction. Lina Brandt and Frida Höglund controlled the fight with a four-five goal lead in the final stanza.

Alingsås HK – Huddinge HK 22-20 (10-12)
Eskilstuna Guif – Tyresö Handball 28-33 (15-17)
