Bad weather doesn’t stop the Medieval Days show

The rain that everyone has been eagerly waiting for months, and which yesterday afternoon fell abundantly on Titan, fortunately did not affect the program of the second day of the Medieval Days – 1462 Il Patto, the emblematic event of San Marino’s summer that opened on Thursday. In fact, in the historic center there was a very good turnout of citizens and visitors, finding great satisfaction in the shows and performances proposed by the event. Particularly interesting is the theatrical performance by a company from Salerno “La Fiera del Crocifisso Ritrovato” which took place in the evocative setting of Piazzale Domus Plebis in the presence of the Councilor for Productive Activities and Tourism of the Municipality of Salerno Alessandro Ferrara, recently the Guest was the Deputy Minister of Tourism Federico Pedini Amati. On this occasion Pedini Amati and Ferrara laid the foundations for a fruitful cooperation in the tourism sector between the Republic of San Marino and Salerno to bring advantages and added value to both areas. The presence of the show in the Medieval Days program is the first example of the concrete desire to follow up on the agreements of just a few weeks ago. Based on a text by the author Diego De Silva, directed by Andrea Carraro, with Andrea Carraro, Cinzia Ugatti and the young Ludovica Sguazzo, the representation that tells the story of the Fiera del Crocifisso Ritrovato and the magician Barloario is one of the longest-running and known in Italy and every year, between the end of April and May 1, in Salerno it revives the culture, traditions, foods, games, perfumes, colors, clothes and atmospheres of the medieval world. The highlight of this third day of the festival will take place this evening at 9.00 pm. in Cava dei Balestrieri: with the VEXILLA show, it will be the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Musicians and Flag-wavers group of the San Marino Crossbowmen Federation. is officially celebrated. The participation of many institutions and authorities of San Marino is expected. Finally, from 23.00 to 12.30, the Taverna del Cavaliere in Campo Bruno Reffi will host “In Taberna – La grande festa”, a format with medieval gothic music and oriental dances, designed for the younger audience, who will thus be able to enjoy the proposal of the Middle Ages in a new and more attractive key. The tavern will be transformed into a large outdoor party in which the audience will be drawn into dancing and fun to the sound of percussion and bagpipes. In addition, today and tomorrow, from 12.30 to 14.30, “Il desco del Re” will allow the public to dine live from cartoons and live performances of a medieval character with musicians, jesters and historians to live an experience of participation and fun while enjoying historical dishes and tradition.
