Beach tennis. Cesena’s champions Alex Agirelli, Riccardo and Edoardo Ponti meet with mayor and sports councilor

Last March, the Italian Under-12 Beach Tennis Championships took place in Forlimpopoli. On this occasion, the very young athletes of Cesena Alex Agirelli and Riccardo Ponti won the championship and the title of double Italian under 12 champion for 2021. Mayor Enzo Lattuca and sports advisor Christian Castorri met them for the congratulate them and give them the pennant of the city of Cesena.

Alex Agirelli plays in the Crb sports club in Cesena, Riccardo Ponti is more of a strength athlete at the Dock in Ferrara. Both of Cesena, after the Italian indoor (Forlimpopoli) and outdoor (Viareggio) championships, also participated in the world championships held in Terracina from September 9 to 19, 2021, still achieving an excellent result. Edoardo Ponti, Riccardo’s brother, also took part in this tournament, which won the bronze medal in the under-18 category.
