Carabiners on the ski slopes for safe fun

The invitation made by the experts of the Carabinieri is to be careful, to limit the speed and to avoid distractions that could seriously endanger the safety of each and other tourists.

Also for this winter season, the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Modena has planned the presence and use of military skiers on the slopes of Monte Cimone, including those of the municipality of Sestola.

SESTOLA – This year the Carabinieri will indulge, as in the past, in a targeted and careful surveillance activity, with the aim of preventing injuries or misbehavior of tourists on the slopes.


The goal is to be able to guarantee the many mountain lovers that they can have fun safely.


Every day

With the arrival of snow in the last days, at least six Carabinieri from the Sestola, Fanano and Pievepelago stations will be deployed daily in the Modena area, who will have three snowmobiles at their disposal for prevention and control activities on the approximately 55 km of slopes. The army will also participate in rescue operations for the injured, as has already happened in previous seasons.

In this regard, the Carabinieri remind, it is mandatory to have valid insurance, which covers civil liability for damages or injuries caused to third parties, as required by Legislative Decree no. 40 of February 28, 2021.
