Civitanova, “We become readers”: the festival dedicated to children opens – Picchio News

Civitanova Marche will host on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 Julyits first edition “Books in Party – You become readers”, the book festival dedicated to children aged 3 to 18 years. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Civitanova Marche – Department of Welfare as part of the “Civitanova Città con l’Infanzia” project, will take place in two afternoons, in two different locations: Saturday in Varco sul Mare, Sunday in Piazza della Libertà and in the monastery of San Francesco in Civitanova Alta.

The rich program includes games, readings, meetings with the eleven authors present, book purchase and 27 experimental workshops with varied and comprehensive courses for children, teenagers and parents. All through content that combines moments of play and fun with those of reflection, to highlight the value of reading from a cultural, educational and social point of view.

The introductory press conference with the municipal councilors was held this morning Barbara Caponi (prosperity) e Manola Gironacci (Tourism) and the municipal councilor Paola Campetelli. It was also the president of ArTime Francesco Marilungo and the representatives of reality: the writer Gianluca Marinangeli, Simone Giaconi of Giaconi editore, Simone Forani of Anffas, Irene Ortolani for “Il Faro”, Graziella Santarelli for “The land of the rainbows’, Olindo Iualé of Anc of the city, Vittorio Rinaldelli of Rinaldelli Immobiliare (sponsor).

The project, carried out by the ArTime Association, is part of the awareness and attention process launched by the municipality of Civitanova Marche towards the world of childhood, young people and families with initiatives of particular interest to disadvantaged people or people with special needs for promoting their integration and socialization.

“QLibri in Festa – you become readers” precisely intends to strengthen, in collaboration with other public and private organizations in the region, reading as a training and education tool in a society increasingly immersed in the digital system, with appointments dedicated to children and teenagers who will not only be spectators but also active protagonists of the event.

“We strongly wanted to offer two days dedicated to reading for all our citizens, young and old – he explains Councilor Capponi – Presentation of volumes and workshops designed for different age groups are foreseen. When the city council offered our students the opportunity to visit the book fair in Rome in the fall, we saw great interest and the need to approach reading, which was also confirmed in the discussions with the teachers. Thank you to the many actors who will work with us to build together this moment of fun, education and inclusion: the event will actually be accessible to everyone through Lis and communication help.”

“Libri in Festa – you become readers” will be open, Saturday 15th July at 4pm in Varco sul Marefrom the presentation of the book “Civitanova Marche – A fairy-tale city”, a volume written and illustrated by the students of the Integrated Institutes of Civitanova, as part of an editorial work included in the project “Civitanova Città con l’Infanzia”.

This will be followed by meetings with the authors Elisa Caporalini, Piero Massimo Macchini, Stella Sacchini, Nicola Bordonaro and Gianluca Marinangeli. At the same time, there will be 15 free workshops aimed at children and young people aged 3 to 14.

On Sunday the festival moves to Civitanova Alta, Piazza della Libertà and the Cloister of San Francesco. The afternoon will open, again at 4 pm, with meetings with the writers Miriam Marzetti. Laura Gentili and Barbara Cerchetti.

At 17:30 we will continue with the literary reading for two voices “Le Marche and the magic of words”, inspired by the publications of the Giaconi Editore publishing house. Book presentations by Don Terenzio Pastore, Luigi Finucci and the testimony of Lisa Rossi’s parents closed the review.
