Pick up old hockey gear and lace up your skates – it’s time for the Ice Hockey World Cup 2022, where the best hockey nation in the world will be crowned. As usual, great excitement is promised as Sweden meet teams from around the world to fight for the glorious world title.

The first match was on Friday May 13, but Sweden took to the ice first on the 14th and then against Austria. The broadcasts started at 10:30 a.m. and Tre Kronor emerged proud winner with 3-1.

In total, Sweden play seven group matches before playoff time. Over the years, the Swedish national team has won 47 medals, which places Tre Kronor as the nation after Canada that has won the most Ice Hockey World Cup medals through the ages. Hopefully there will be another medal for the prize cabinet after this year’s final.
