Enjoy Albisole is back, the common calendar of summer events in the Municipalities of Albisola Superiore and Albissola Marina with entertainment, theater, gastronomy, places for children in the center, for a summer full of fun.

For the seventh year, to seal the understanding and programmatic synergy of the two administrations of Albisola Superiore and Albissola Marina, the Mayor of Marina Gianluca Nasuti and the Chief Executive Officer for Tourism and Territorial Marketing Enrico Schelotto, together with Superi colleagues , Tourism consultant Luca Ottonello and culture consultant Simona Poggi thus presented “Enjoy Albisole 2022”: the joint calendar of events and summer events of the two Albisole.

“Also this year – says Councilor Ottonello – the good practice of implementing and sharing the tourist offer of an area that is geographically unique, to make it more attractive to citizens and tourists, has not disappeared: Albisole restarts together and they are happy , to give everyone moments of joy, sharing and fun. The summer of 2022 is marked, for Albisola Superiore, by big returns and some new ones, starting from the locations of the events, which this year will be mainly two: the piazza del Talian and the piazza della Scacchiera “.

It starts with the month of July and a big joint event, from Friday 1 to Wednesday 6: AlbIsJazz, second edition of the masterclass and music review dedicated to jazz, organized by the La Bella Brezza Association, under the auspices of the two Municipalities. A week of lessons and live music, concerts and jam sessions with the Genoese pianist Dado Moroni, as the artistic director of the event. In addition to Dado Moroni himself, some of the biggest names in Italian and world jazz: Enzo Zirilli, Emanuele Cisi, Riccardo Fioravanti, Peter Bernstein, Gianpaolo Casati and Gegé Telesforo.

Two events loved by locals and tourists alike, the Capo di Notte, the white nights of Albisola Capo’s historic center and #Liguritudine and its surroundings, the culinary journey to the ancient village of Superiore: both events are organized by Ascom and include steetfood, entertainment, music and more.

Street food lovers will have another opportunity to discover special dishes and products, thanks to the August Fest on the E. Montale seafront during August: international kiosks and food trucks, craft beers and music.

The Madonna del Carmine Festival in Luceto also goes back to its beginnings, with the presence of food coins and dance bands.

Piazza del Talian will be for children on Wednesdays and listening to music on Thursday: Riccardo Tortarolo will tell the story of elves, fairies and other little creatures and Pino Potenza will put on two puppet shows and an actor, Harlequin Fisherman of the Words and The Knight of the Bucket.

The Articanto Association will present the critique of Note dal Mare with the participation of the duet Zunino (harp and voice), the vocal quintet Mezzo Sotto, the duet Brillance (electric piano and saxophone) and the Acoustic Duo Night (voice and guitar), while The TangoInzago Association will host an evening of music, words and performances dedicated to the world of Argentine tango.

Piazza Scacchiera will be the second venue for summer concerts and will host Matteo Garbarini and Groove Monkey, Margot Band, Sherocks, Take a Quartet and Never Late.

Councilor Poggi states: “Albisolese summer will be characterized by culture, with exhibitions, book presentations, concerts and events spanning 360 degrees. From July 9 to September 9, at the Manlio Trucco Museum of Ceramics, the exhibition entitled The works of the The 1954 Albisola National Ceramics Award will be held for the ceramics created with the contribution of the De Mari Foundation, to discover an important chapter in history of our city, through the rediscovery of the National Award for Famous Artists. An important innovation of the summer will be the remodeling of the archeological site Alba Docilia, which participates in a project carried out in collaboration with the Supervision of Archeology, Fine Arts, Landscape, which includes landscaping interventions and a new lighting system In collaboration with Silvana Gavagnin, head of the Archaeological Site, hiking and visiting guided tours of the area. “Culture starts again after two difficult years and it does it from our beautiful Albisola”.

Albisola will host for the first time the National Theater of Genoa, which will carry the play Letters from afar to the Parco dell’Accoglienza, freely inspired by the work of Toon Tellegen and dedicated to children. The Sipario tornado company returns to the park with the show Why I am a woman too.

Zambellini Park, on the other hand, will be the protagonist of the San Lorenzo night, with the bubble show, children’s readings and picnics under the stars. The spotlight will also be on the picturesque village of Ellera thanks to the opening of a 750 ml mural created by the artist.

There will be shopping, exhibitions at the IAT office in the piazzale Marinetti and snorkeling activities, organized by the CEA Riviera del Beigua, to discover the magical world of the seabed.

Many events will welcome citizens and tourists this summer of 2022 full of fun and togetherness. “A special look at the little ones with the Albisola Kids review which will include dating for different age groups and will focus a lot on the issue of sustainable mobility thanks also to the collaboration with TPL Linea. The exhibition was made possible thanks to the contribution of Agostino De Marie Foundation”.

On June 26 with the Parole Ubikate in Mare, the literary review that will enliven the evenings in the Piazza della Concordia and will see prominent guests from all over Italy. The Albisola Kids review will also be back, with the cinema on the beach free in front of the Town Hall, which every Thursday from June 30 to August 25, will allow you to admire the best movies for children located a few steps from the sea.

Also in this critique, the children’s theater returns with theatrical performances every Tuesday from 12 July to 23 August in Faraggiana Park, in an area that is becoming more and more a meeting point for the Albissolese community.

It is these cinema and theater nights that the issue of sustainable mobility will be discussed thanks to the “come by bus, we will give you the return” initiative in collaboration with the local transport company of the province of Savona, which has been made available to work.

Readings for children every Tuesday in July at Parco Puccio complete the program for families.

The Circolo degli Artisti has already started the season with the historic cultural review “I Wednesdays of Pozzo Garitta”, with a wide program of events, from June 22 to August 31. Albissola Marina participates for the 2nd year in the play “Liguria of the arts – The beauty show” promoted by the Region of Liguria and organized by the Ipotesi Theater Center in Genoa: on July 5, an evening of poetry, art and music in the wonderful setting of Villa Faraggiana.

The summer also continues with music nights at the historic center in early July and early August, accompanied by food and wine competitions in which the city’s restaurants will compete in cooking, starting on July 5 with “Albisjazz e gusta!”, At in the various squares “Street Food Music and themed showcases” and on July 6 with a final concert in Piazza della Concordia.

On August 10, the quality food and wine competitions with anchovy bread and ceramics continue in the historic center, thanks to the cooperation of local public bodies. The feast of pigs organized by AVIS delle Albissole on July 9 and 10 and August 6 and 7 always continues in the name of food and wine.

The dawn concert will be held on August 14th and the Riviera Jazz & Blues Festival will star on August 26th, featuring important names from the national and international jazz, prog, rock and blues scene. Also in the music programming, the usual rendezvous with the classical music of the 11th edition of the Voxonus Festival dedicated to the baroque music organized by the Savona Symphony Orchestra with an appointment in the Piazza della Concordia and the Oratorio di San Giuseppe, from 23 to 13 September .

On July 30-31 the village of Radio Deejay will be hosted on the free beach near the free equipped facility “Le Vele” which will see the famous radio participate in a two-day presence in the area with live broadcasts from the municipality of Albissolese, games, competitions and many other interesting activities for a weekend full of fun and with the name of Albissola Marina that will be widely displayed throughout Italy and not just in the run-up to the event.

In September (24-25), venue for the Albissola Comics festival – Italian comics festival that reaches its 11th edition and that attracts fans from all over Italy to discover the fantastic world of manga and superheroes. Albissola Marina also offers a rich program of exhibitions, exhibitions and art initiatives organized at MuDA and at all summer exhibitions and cultural associations.
