Not good news for the “maestro”: for the first time in years, tennis legend Roger Federer is no longer among the top ten players in the world.
In the world rankings of women’s and men’s tennis, there have been some changes among the top ten places. For example, the best star has slipped Roger Federer drops two positions to eleventh, breaking out of the top 10 for the first time since January 2017. The best Austrian is Dominic Thiem, who still suffers from his wrist injury, in eighth place.
In women, Iga Swiatek went from fourth to eleven. Ons Jabeur, on the other hand, soared, rising six places in his semifinals at Indian Wells and is now eighth. Ashleigh Barty continues to salute from the top, while Novak Djokovic still tops the men’s list. (APA / red.)
