A new investment in Zaragoza will bring the city’s team back to Liga Asobal. Ambitions are bolstered by big name signings, Brazilian Felipe Borges and goalkeeper Jorge Gomez are well known in local contexts and are coming together again, the club report on social media.

BM Aragon earned respect for many years but dropped out after financial problems in 2016. BM Zaragoza held the banner high at lower sporting levels. Now BM Casademont Zaragoza wants to approach the best in Spain, based in the northeast region.

Borges spent two seasons with Aragan, 2007-09, just after leaving Brazil. Veroljub Kosovac led the six left-handers in European handball. Borge’s career has since crossed between mainly French and Spanish clubs, in addition to countless national team assignments for the 37-year-old.

Gomes was in Aragon for the previous two rounds, in addition to trips to Portland San Antonio, Bada Huesca, Guadalajara and Naturhouse La Rioja. The goalkeeper has put his shoes aside in 2020 but is back with routine in the Zaragoza squad in the fall.
