From 1st to 8th August many dates for wine and fun lovers

Walking among the vineyards, tastings and aperitifs in the cellar, theatrical performances in the heart of Cirotano wine production, music and typical cuisine to enjoy the slow pace while the vineyards shine with ripe fruit, ready for the next vintage to be harvested. The oldest DOC in Calabria dresses up ahead of the summer event that will close the 2023 Cirò Wine Festival on August 10 with the tasting tables of the twenty-nine participating companies.

A common thread connects the appointments offered to the public of tourists and wine lovers in the Cirò Wine Festival Off calendar, which from August 1 to 8 will enliven the region with a diversified offer to satisfy the tastes of all wine lovers: to become known and improve the cellars and men and women of Cirò. Will be Borgo Saverona to welcome the first scheduled appointment Friday August 4th with buffet dinner, music and wines from the Consortium. The next day Saturday, August 5 at 16:30 Wine trekking from Umrbiatico to the Fezzigna winery with an aperitif and final tasting of the company’s wines, while at 18:00 “On the contrary, vines and winemakers” is the place to get to know and taste the micro-vinifications of the Cirò Doc subzones. Sunday, August 6 theater space inside the cellar of Tenuta Senatore with the “Christ of the Suburbs” performance by Davide Sacco with Francesco Montanari, combined with a wine tasting from the Cirotano area. Wednesday, August 9 at 19:00 Goblets at Sunset is the recommended aperitif Barons Capoano on the company’s panoramic terrace, with live music and tasting of local excellence.

A program of parallel events to discover and get to know the whole world of Cirò up close, to meet producers, farmers, wines, cellars, in a common embrace to tell the story of one of the longest wine communities in Southern Italy preparing for the last two days starting L’August 8 with the technical tasting “Il cirò is the Calabrian Renaissance” assigned to Luca Gardini, which will be followed by those of August 9 “The vocation of rosé del Gaglioppo” again with Luca Gardini and “Il Cirò or the longevity of a great red from the South” with Luciano Pignataro.
