Prezzemolo, the famous gardaland mascot, starred at the 80th Venice Film Festival. During the event, the Gardaland Amusement Park was presented as a movie set, taking advantage of the cinematic magic that permeates the lagoon city.
Prezzemolo was spotted arriving at the Excelsior Hotel in Venice for a lavish launch, wearing a dapper suit for the occasion. Accompanied by Giancarlo Giannini, one of the most famous Italian actors, the couple walked the red carpet reserved for international celebrities, attracting the attention of photographers and engaging the audience with moments of fun.
In conjunction with the event, Gardaland organized a talk at the Excelsior entitled “The magical world of amusement parks meets the dreamlike dimension of cinema”. During this meeting, Luna Park was presented as a metaphor for life and as an ideal location for film productions. Giancarlo Giannini, guest of honor at the talk, shared his unpublished insight into life and the Luna Park.
Elisa Nicastro, PR & Communication Manager of Gardaland, said that the park has been the setting for many productions, from fiction to documentaries, from reality to music videos. He also underlined that Gardaland is open to collaborations with international networks and that the Venice Film Festival was the perfect setting to present the Park as a film location.
Giancarlo Giannini shared his playful approach to life and talked about taking his children to Gardaland many years ago. For him, the Luna Park represents play and is a part of life itself. He added that an actor must visit Gardaland to learn the joy of life and only then can he act. Giannini concluded by saying that Gardaland is the metaphor of life in his view, a place that offers fun and emotions, perfect as a movie set.
Elisa Nicastro highlighted that Gardaland is a fantastic location for different types of productions and events, thanks to the different environments that exist in the Park, such as the Far West, the space and the atmosphere of old England. All these settings help to give emotions and allow you to live a carefree day.
A cake was cut during the event to mark this important moment and to celebrate Gardaland’s 48th birthday. Prezzemolo, after toasting and celebrating, arrived at the Palazzo del Cinema, walking the red carpet like a true star, waving to the cheering public across town and on the Venice Lido.
The participation of Gardaland and Prezzemolo in the Venice Film Festival underlined the importance of the Park as a film setting and contributed to creating an atmosphere of magic and fun during the event. Gardaland Luna Park confirms once again its leading role in promoting fun and entertainment in Italy.
