IF Hallby beat Skara HF by the smallest possible margin. Emma Wahlström was the giant of the match and also scored the last goal, 29-28.
Hallby impressed in the outside lane with a full pot. When the teams played each other in the same format last season, Skara were eight balls clearer, but the Jönnköping side definitely got back into action on Monday night.
Among the winners of the match, Wahlström climbed with ten successes, including the equality at 28 and a goal in the next penalty attack.
Culture carrier Elin Johansson showed courage in attacking play, while Christina Lövgren Hallberg read the result of the home team and, among other things, took a few penalties.
As often, Skara had Mélanie Felberg in the lead. Between the lines, a few injuries were heavier news than a few goal losses.
Aldis Heimisdottir, nine yards out, was hit in the foot during a duel late in the first half. Aldis Heimisdottir and Laerke goalkeeper Sörensen left the pitch towards the end with dreaded knee problems.
Laerke had to go to hospital and it’s unclear how serious the injury is, while Aldis only suffered a sprain, Felber told the club’s website, reflecting on the outcome of the match.
– It’s sad to lose, but it’s good to have had such tough opposition like this just a few weeks before the series premiere, she continued.
