On Thursday, Netflix released the long-awaited trailer for the sequel to the Spanish hit “House of Money”. So much for the good news. Because with season 5, part 2 with five episodes, the legendary epic of bank robbers ends. Forever!
The second part of the grand finale with its five episodes starts on December 3, the first part celebrated its premiere in September, also with five episodes. AND THEN it really rained on the paper.

In the trailer of almost 30 seconds you can hear the voice of the professor (varlvaro Morte, 46) saying the words: “In the last hours I have lost two people who were important to me and I will not let anyone else die”
What it means: After the death of Tokyo’s favorite fan (Úrsula Corberó, 32), the team inside the money house is alone. The enemy, though wounded, is more dangerous than ever and is still in the Bank of Spain.

Here are the usual action scenes that leave no doubt: This is the last fight gangsters have to face. A confrontation of superpowers that marks the end of the most legendary bank robbery of all time.
Who will survive in the end and how does the story end – and if there will be even a little happy ending for those who remain? Fans will learn all this from December 3.
Surprise success from Spain
On Netflix, “House of Money” became a worldwide hit in 2017 and was the flowing giant that sparked the enthusiasm for experimentation they are accustomed to today. Movies and series from around the world in different languages instead of a Hollywood fare? This is mainly due to the success of this show.
The story of a gang of bank robbers who outgrow themselves over and over again with their horrific robberies does not come from Netflix at all. Previously, “House of Money” was on Spanish television with the title “La casa de papel” (in German: “Paper House”, reference to banknotes).

From today’s point of view, in view of the great success, it is hard to believe: The series ended much faster on Spanish television than on Netflix! A total of 15 episodes told a complete story and ran on screens in Spain until November 2017.
Netflix recognized the show’s capabilities, secured the rights, and simply reworked the series. Instead of 15 episodes, there were only 13 with significantly shorter airtime. Nine more episodes and so the second season was formed from the material that was still available.
And after? Titled “House of Money” – or internationally “Money Heist” – the revised series thrilled millions of fans. Netflix had no choice but to continue the gold mine.
With the fifth part, the bank robbery is over, the “antiheroes”, who bear all the names of the cities to protect their identity (Tokyo, Rio, Stockholm, Berlin …), must be the ultimate last time Robbery (English for attack) survive.
The teacher for the end of the series
All robbers are under the teacher’s command. Actor varlvaro Morte plays the mysterious point of attraction and anchor of the show from the first episode.

Five years have passed, “a long time”, as the professor says. “I cried a lot when the last mouth fell.” Really the last one? Well, internationally not much …
