In Giussano the fantastic world of role-playing games: reading, imagination and fun

There “Don Rinaldo Beretta” Civic Library of Giussano presents a new and exciting project dedicated to “RPG“. In collaboration with the Social Promotion Association “The Happy Brigade” and the Cultural Club “Lo Psillo”, the initiative aims to engage young people and adults in an engaging and creative experience through role-playing games.

The opening of the project will take place on Saturday, January 20, offering participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the exciting world of Role Playing Games (RPG). The initiative will take place on two Saturday afternoons a month and will be led by specially trained volunteers, who will take on the role of master and moderator.

This is the second gaming-themed initiative: the first format, focused on board games, was launched just last Saturday and included girls and boys of different ages, united by the desire to have fun and challenge each other to achieve their respective goals.

Role-playing games: a world of creativity and sociability. Role-playing games allow participants to assume the role of one or more characters in a fictional world. Through conversation and dialectical exchange, players create a collective narrative, guided by a Game Master who prepares the story plot and leads the game session.

Objectives of the project. The main goal of the project is to provide an engaging and creative experience, promoting reading, social interaction and encouraging the birth of new knowledge in a healthy and collaborative environment. Role-playing helps to increase the sense of self-efficacy and self-esteem by focusing on the emerging skills and “islands of competence” of the participants.
