In the spring, Prima Television will focus on proven programs, including the new series of the Way Home series, Star Magazine, the culinary VIP Prosteně or the third series of Farmer is Looking for a Woman and the finals of the Czech Miss. It will also broadcast several new releases, among which the comedy talk show Polívka on Wine with actor Boleslav Polívka will be the main voice. Today, Prima representatives presented the spring program to journalists.
“We consider that last year was a great success, the group’s share increased by nine percent, we also have a good economic result. We have dared to identify ourselves as the winners of digitization, because we are the only one group to grow for three years, ”said the new CEO of Prima. Martin konrad with the fact that the group wishes to maintain these positions this year as well.
Therefore, Prima intends to increase investment in its own production this year, as much as it will be, but television officials have not made it clear. The television is preparing another novelty for spring, which Prima did not want to surprise yet. “It’s one of the most expensive investments this year,” said only Petr Vladyka, program director at Prima.
According to Konrád, the next step for Prima to increase its reputation will be to invest in the co-production of national films. The first will be a romantic comedy about the partnership between Martin and Venus, directed by Jiří Chlumský, which hits theaters on March 7.
“We decided to go more into the co-production of Czech films, in which we were weaker,” Konrád said. Martin and Venus are the first swallows, others would be added. In the past, film co-production was entrusted by Prima mainly to the traditional co-producer of national films on Czech television and the trading company Nova.
Prima now broadcasts three Family, Cool and Love channels, and will launch the documentary Zoom on Friday. At Prima Cool, he intends, among other things, to attract male spectators to the next matches of the UEFA Champions League.
