IFK Skövde’s management team is growing. Johan Green, who kept goal in the elite team until the mid-2000s, joins a specific assignment to support current goalkeeping duo Håvard Åsheim and Johan Green, declares the club on its website.

Statistics, 63 qualifying appearances and club record 53 EC appearances testify that Green was a key player for IFK, including when Skovde went all the way in the Challenge Cup in 2003/04.

The club need the 49-year-old in a different title as we enter 2023. Having been involved in youth and youth teams, Green’s focus is on the league squad and in particular the goalkeepers.

Åsheim, back at Skovde after Bundesliga matches, appreciates Green’s presence in training and match preparation.

Green was previously goalkeeping coach for Skövde HF in SHE.
