Kohfeldt: “wants to see a courageous team”

Despite the last eight competitive games without a win, new Wolfsburg coach Florian Kohfeldt is convinced of the class of his new team.

“I think there are just incredibly good conditions here. And a team with incredible potential, ”said Kohfeldt, who took over from Mark van Bommel in Lower Saxony. The VfL parted ways with the Dutchman on Sunday, and the VW Club announced Kohfeldt’s engagement on Tuesday.

Lots of conversations before the first training session

Kohfeldt, released on a match day before the end of the season at Werder Bremen last season, will lead his new team’s first training session on Thursday. Then it will be officially presented. The 39-year-old has already had a lot of talk on Wednesday. “Talking will be the most important thing,” Kohfeldt said of his duties in the coming days.

On Saturday, the Greens-Whites will travel to Bayer Leverkusen, three days later they will play against RB Salzburg in the Champions League. “Dominant, fast and with a very good mentality” he wanted to see VfL, Kohfeldt said. “I want to see a brave team.”
