After the great response he had with the previous single “Padam Padam”, released last May, Kylie Minogue release a new song titled “Trend”, the same as his sixteenth album which will be released on September 22nd on BMG and is already on pre-order.

“Trend” continues in the wake of “Padam Padam” with its lightness inspired by the world of dance. The song is which Kylie wrote with her longtime collaborators Biff Stannard and Duck Blackwell and with Kamille, Anya Jones and Jon Green.

A video accompanies the single directed by Sophie Muller (same as the video for “Padam Padam”) which sees the Aussie singer take different forms in an alternate “retro-future” reality.

“Intensity” is also his title new albumthe sixteenth of his career Kylie Minogue, consisting of cheerful pleasure-seeking pop tunes.

“I started this album with an open mind and a blank slate,” Minogue noted in a press release. “Unlike my last two albums, there wasn’t a ‘theme’, it was about finding the heart or the fun or the fantasy of the moment and always trying to serve the song. I wanted to celebrate the individuality of each song and dive into that creative freedom. I’d say it’s a mixture of personal reflection, an abandoned club and a lot of melancholy.”
