Marzena Figiel-Strzała is a journalist, traveler and actress. A few years ago, she created a series of reports “Children of the world”, which tells about the lives of children from all over the world. He makes films with his own money, and all of the revenue from their publication goes to help the little heroes of the series. How does he prepare for the trip? How long are his trips usually? The love of travel – how did it start?
The passion to explore the world was born gradually in Marzena. Even as a girl, she listened with curiosity to the inspiring stories of her parents – mother of a traveler and father – a mountaineer. Over the next few years, she visited new places with them. The turning point was the 18th birthday. It was then that she decided to go on a solitary journey. At the request of her father, she travels to Morocco. Africa stole his heart for good. She is currently traveling with her husband, who helps her register and create documents.
– I traveled the world with my parents from a very young age and it was never hotel trips, but nature trips, with a tent, without a budget. This way of traveling, without a travel agency, without excursions, without a plan, has been very successful for me. There is contact with the native. I received the gift of keeping my eyes open, listening to the world and respecting others. This is the most important thing in travel – she says Marzena Figiel-Strzala.

He travels not only to discover a new place and a new culture. She combines her passion with mutual aid. The journalist has created her own series of reports “Children of the world”. This is where he raises awareness of issues that often no one knows about and raises money for those in need.
When I was little, my mother always brought me postcards from my travels and told me about their lives. When I started traveling alone and saw with my own eyes what the reality was like for these children, in places where help was needed, I knew I had to do something. I started making reports and documents and showing them to the closest people. There was always a summary. During the pandemic, I decided to release these films on the Internet and announce that if anyone is willing to support, they can do so
Meetings with the natives
How are the first encounters with foreign tribes? Getting started is not always easy. For the first few days, Marzena usually talks about her to the natives. Sometimes it takes a few days to gain my trust. The relationship then turns into a friendship.
– I have trusted people on site. I spend a lot of time with them. In a tribe, I can live in a tent for a month. I know these people, they become my friends – says the traveler.
