Saturday, September 30, 4 p.m. With live music from the Alt-Idol band Erisu and the participation of Scorpion and Lady Cristal
Massa Marittima: The Victorian gothic-steampunk-event returns, “Massae Tenebris”, Saturday 30 September, starting at 4pm, in the former Poor Clares Convent. Free entrance. It is recommended to participate in costumes because, as every year, various photo sets will be set up with the possibility of taking souvenir photos by the professional photographers who will take part in the event. This year it will be possible to come into contact with new characters and the magical world of Harry Potter. In addition, at 21.30, the best costumes will be awarded with three separate awards: best gothic, steampunk and victorian cosplay.
The party will be enlivened by various performers with the special participation of the magician Scorpion and Lady Cristal. The magician will reserve a first moment for the little ones, in the afternoon, with the mini magic school and immediately afterwards he will give life to an exciting show. This will be followed by the gothic dance organized by Antonella Pepe from Danzart and the students of the school. Two bonfire shows are also planned: one at sunset and one after dinner at 9 p.m. Once the award ceremony is over, the party will close with live music by the Italian Alt Idol group “Erisu”, a young female musical group, composed of four singers of different nationalities who recently appeared on the international scene, imposing for their originality, skill and energy.
As every year, there will also be a refreshment stand where you can drink and eat. In addition, there will be themed stalls and a mineral display by the Massetano Mineralogical Group. The initiative is organized by the Celebration Committee of San Bernardino under the patronage of the Municipality of Massa Marittima and Avis Comunale.
“Not only is summer synonymous with fun, but autumn is also a particularly lively period full of initiatives in Massa Marittima – states Irene Marconi, municipal councilor for culture – with events almost every weekend, thanks to local clubs that are very active . Events like Massae Tenebris are interesting because they draw attention to the world of cosplayers which seems to be a growing tourist segment, with visitors willingly traveling, even traveling many kilometers to participate in the various events organized in Italy and abroad.
