ELBA ISLAND – This evening, I 2021 UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships officially opened with the opening ceremony which will take place in Portoferraio.

The opening night organized in collaboration between the promotion committee of the world championships, the Capoliveri Bike Park, the municipality of Portoferraio and the cultural association Maggyart will be broadcast worldwide in live streaming from the 21st at this link.

Tomorrow, Friday October 1 in Porto Azzurro, at 4.30 p.m. there will be a press conference with athletes and eminent personalities, which will see Thomas Frischknecht, Leonardo Paez, Nino Schurter, Ramona Forchini, Paola Pezzo, Mirko Celestino, Marika Tovo and Fabian Rabensteiner.

Saturday, on the other hand, will be the big day of the challenges of the Mountain Bike World Championships in Capoliveri with 180 athletes from 33 nations of the world who will compete on a demanding course of 112 km.

As the organizers say, the 2021 UCI MTB Marathon World Championships will be visible live on TV and streaming from 12:40 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on: RaiSport, GCN, Eurosport Player, Discovery +, TVE Telesport, Czech Republic: Czech Television, FloSport (USA), Supersport, ESPN.

On Sunday October 3, however, there will be more than 2,000 participants in the Capoliveri Legend World Edition, who in the following days will have a detailed summary on RaiSport.

It will be 4 days of adrenaline and Saturday it will be a spectacular world championship, with a fantastic course, on a unique island, completely surrounded by the sea, with incredible color contrasts, which will award the marathon world champion.
