The new TV and radio broadcaster BILD goes on the air for the first time on Sunday, August 22, 2021!

BILD can be downloaded for free and without encryption – also in HD – via cable, satellite, IPTV and OTT. The goal in the beginning is a technical approach of about 85 percent of German television households. BILD’s television program is funded through advertising, which is done through the television and video marketer VISOON.

The main program of BILD is the news show BILD LIVE, which is broadcast from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm. Under the journalistic mission of “Ongoing News and Opinion, live 24/7”, the studio coordinators and BILD journalists on the BILD LIVE website follow a topical issue every hour, which is discussed with experts and viewers, so live becomes an exclusive heading.

On Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm, BILD LIVE has to do with sports with various programs – especially for the Bundesliga. The broadcasts from BILD LIVE will be broadcast simultaneously on N24 Doku, the WELT time carrier.

The 24-hour program also includes live broadcasts on politics, sports, broadcasts and services, such as the political speech THE CORRECT QUESTIONS or the REIF IS LIVE football talk. The range of programs is supplemented by reports and documentation, during which the news can go to the BILD LIVE studio at any time.

BILD is produced and operated by a new television unit at WeltN24 GmbH, in which Axel Springer combines television activities for WELT, BILD and N24 Doku. The managing directors of WeltN24 GmbH are Frank Hoffmann as chairman of the television unit and Claus Strunz, who in this role is also the program manager of the BILD broadcaster. Claus Strunz is also CEO of TV / Video at Axel Springer and a member of the BILD Editor-in-Chief. The overall responsibility for the journalistic provision of BILD LIVE content, created in the BILD publishing department, lies with BILD Editor-in-Chief Julian Reichelt.
