Lundqvist, who played every one of the 15 of his NHL seasons with the New York Rangers, shared an interesting tale about what befell him at the 2000 NHL draft via virtual entertainment on Saturday, 22 years to the day of his choice.

The Swedish-conceived goalie said he had an outing to Spain arranged with companions yet went to the draft in Calgary without a second to spare.

Just a single group requested to meet with him and he went to some unacceptable spot, he conceded with some shame.

The story came after the Rangers shared an image of a very youthful Lundqvist upon the arrival of the draft. Previous partner and current ESPN hockey expert Dominic Moore kidded about Lundqvist looking much more youthful than 18 years of age back in 2000.
Yet, as Lundqvist composed even with the slip up, everything worked out eventually.

“Day and a half later and 7 adjusts later I was at long last home,” he composed.

The 2022 NHL Draft starts Thursday July 7.
