– I appeal to everyone, especially in the context of the upcoming holidays, to use masks in cemeteries in addition to vaccination. There will be no strict regulation here, but it is an appeal to responsibility not only to yourself, but also to your relatives, to your environment – Health Minister Adam Niedzielski said today.

– The approach to combating the pandemic at the moment is such that real tools in the form of vaccination and sanitation regimes – masks, distance and disinfection, are tools that, with wide, general use, should allow us to control the wave to cross without introducing additional restrictions “= – pointed the head of the Ministry of Health at the conference in Sosnowiec.

He noted that this is an assumption, and unfortunately it can be seen that the level of epidemic discipline is insufficient.

– I had the opportunity to look at US models that predicted the course of individual waves for almost every country and one thing that stood out in the case of Poland is that the parameter of the frequency of wearing masks was overestimated by almost 70 percent. popularity, which occurred in previous waves, halved – to 35%.

said the minister.

He pointed out that the decline in discipline resulted in an increase in the predicted peak of the next wave.

– This center predicts that it will take place a little earlier, around the second decade of November – said the head of the Ministry of Health.

The Minister of Health emphasized that while we “get used to” masks a bit during the holidays, the epidemic situation was different than in the summer.

– I appeal to everyone, especially in the context of the upcoming holidays, to use masks in cemeteries in addition to vaccination. There will be no strict regulation here, but it is an appeal to responsibility not only for yourself, but also for your loved ones, for your environment. The Polish tradition is that we visit cemeteries in crowds, the number of people appearing in these memorial places is very large, there is a crowd, it is difficult to keep their distance, so I think that each person in charge will make a decision based on my point of view is clear
