Out there, a science and art festival

Three days of free events for audiences of all ages combining discovery, fun, emotion, music and experimentation. Among the guests are astrophysicist Amedeo Balbi, actress Federica Rosellini (already on stage with Solaris), black hole researcher Gabriele Ghisellini, actor and conductor Roberto Herlitzka, jazzman (and chemist) Umberto Pet. “Mystery is the fundamental emotion found in the sources of true art and true science,” Albert Einstein seems to have said. And it is precisely this spirit that brings to life the first edition of Là fuori, a festival of science and art, which from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 June will accompany visitors and spectators of all ages to the premises of Villa Lazzaroni in Rome (Via Appia Nuova 522 ) on a journey to discover beauty, from music and theater to the fascinating mysteries of the universe, from darkness to light, from the incredibly small to the infinitely distant from us.

The Festival is the perfect continuation of a project promoted by the Associazione Insiemi di Scienza born in the schools of the south-eastern suburbs of Rome, a way to bring girls between the ages of 8 and 12 into scientific thinking between Stem, theater and music. “At a time when scientific knowledge plays a fundamental role in our lives, but is often perceived as a specialized knowledge and for an elite of people, we wanted to imagine initiatives that could show the deep bond that unites science and art. especially in the suburbs “, explain Edwige Pezzulli and Matteo Alparone of the Association of Science Insiemi. “In recent months, experimentation through workshops and meetings has allowed young people to discover that science is accessible, that it helps to understand the world, that it can work wonders as well as art. Science should not be ‘for the few.’ :

In addition to the evening performances and workshops for children and teens (Saturday and Sunday, from 4 to 6 pm), this first edition of Là Fuori will feature internationally renowned scientists and award-winning artists public.
