Pixbo ready for the SM final – three goals from “the best in the world”

After Pixbo’s victory with 8-5 in the first semi-final, the last two matches were all the more thrilling. The decisions came after extra time where Endre drew the longest straw in game two and Pixo in game three.

Thus, Pixbo was 2-1 in matches heading into Friday’s encounter.

– We weren’t so super happy with the previous three games, says Pixbo’s Emma Stenberg.

Nice goal 5-1

It wasn’t exciting this time. Pixbo’s visit opened the scoring after just 30 seconds and ten minutes later Eliska Krupnova made it 2-0.

For Krupnova, it didn’t stop there. The Czech, who was named the best player in the world last year, went 5-1 and 6-1 for the guests.

At 5-1, it was Krupnova who single-handedly created space for himself before netting a real shot and extending Pixbo’s lead.

“That’s what we fought for”

Midway through the final period, Pixbo had made it 8-1 and the final spot was set. Although Endre scored the last three goals of the match, Pixbo prevailed 8-4 and will play the final next weekend.

– It’s absolutely fantastic. This is what we have always fought for. I’m so proud of my team right now, wow, said Stenberg.

Endres Elin Roos admits Pixbo was too good today.

– They’re too many. We showed great and strong character throughout the playoffs, but you can’t solve all the knots. Pixbo is a good team, says Roos.

In the final, Pixbo will face Rönnby or Thorengruppen.
