During the gala, the Lublin Science Festival statuette was handed over to the organizer of the next edition – the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. – The festival idea will change in the future, reports Rector of the UMCS, Prof.dr.ir. Radoslaw Dobrowolski. – The point is not to pass this leadership every year, but to create a festival office under the patronage of the Lublin City Hall and delegate the university coordinators there. As a result, we do not have to build up new ideas every year for subsequent editions, but to raise the artistic program to a higher level.

During the gala, the promoters of science from 5 public universities in Lublin were awarded: the immunologist of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University Prof. Agnieszka Szuster-Ciesielska, Prof. Agnieszka Monika Wójtowicz from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, literature promoter Prof. Lech Giemza from the Catholic University of Lublin, involved in social projects of Prof. Ewa Poleszak from the Medical University of Lublin and Dr inż. Małgorzata Ciosmak of the Lublin University of Technology.

At the gala, the authors of the multimedia show “Symphony of Science” were awarded. The UMCS choir participated in the project and sang the text from Isaac Newton’s book “Mathematical principles of thephilosophie of nature” from 1687. In 2022 it will be performed during the fountain show at Litewski Square in Lublin.
