The government has allowed cultural and sporting events since May 11th

The measure was presented on Thursday by Health Minister Adam Vojtěch (for YES). “Recently we made it possible to hold events for up to 100 people, starting on May 11. “Now we only have up to 10 people allowed,” he said. “These are various sporting events, cultural and social events,” Vojtech said.

According to him, cinemas, theaters and concert halls will be allowed to open, but a maximum of 100 people will be able to visit them. According to Vojtěch, weddings for up to a hundred people can take place from May 11.

It is also allowed to train athletes up to 100 people indoors and outdoors. Initially, professional athletes were only required to train outdoors from 11 May.

The minister said he would announce the details of these new measures at a press conference on Friday morning.

The events will take place with specific rules of hygiene. The ministry will present it more specifically before the measures come into force.

Not big festivals

Culture Minister Lubomír Zaorálek added that there will definitely be no major festivals this summer.

The government also allowed an extraordinary mass in the cathedral of St. Welcomes the participation of 60 people on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Prague uprising. It will take place on May 5, ie before the measure, which limits participation to 100 people.
