Very sad news has hit fans of world athletics. Tori Bowie, three-time Olympic medalist in Brazil in 2016, has died at the age of 32. Among other things, she also became a double world champion.
She was charming, smiling and successful. Tori Bowie became world champion in the 100 meters in 2017 and also completed the relay. But she already had behind her the biggest successes of her career.
A year earlier, she completed her collection of medals from the Olympic Games. She won gold in the 4x100m relay, silver in the 100m and bronze in the 200m.
She last competed in 2019 but did not expand her medal collection at the World Championships in Doha. She died in early May under unknown circumstances. She was only 32 years old.
“We are saddened to share the very sad news, Tori Bowie has passed away. We have lost a client, a dear friend, a daughter and a sister. Tori was a champion, a beacon of light that shone so brightly. We are truly devastated, our prayers go out to family and friends, said Icon Management, which represented the runner.
