Wales will play in the World Cup for the first time since 1958. In the final of the Qatar Championship promotion play-offs, they beat Ukraine 1-0 at home in Cardiff, with an own goal Andriy Yarmolenko was decisive.

“We did everything we could. I’m sorry we couldn’t score, but that’s sport. I have nothing against the players,” said Ukraine coach Oleksandr Petrakov.
