Amo Handboll dominated the recruitment carousel on Swedish soil last week. Friday’s addition follows a trend revealed by Handballskanalen in mid-April. Vasko Sevaljevic is moving from Redbergslids IK and adds a central skill to the newcomer to the handball league.

Alstermo’s home crowd will be one with Sevaljevic’s seasoned career since the fall and the next two seasons.

Having played in Spain, Germany and France, among others, the 35-year-old established a connection with Sweden when he signed for Redbergslid midway through 2022/23.

The rescue operation failed and the traditional club fell in the Allsvenskan. For Sevaljevic, it’s more about following Amos’ higher goals.

– This is an interesting project that I would like to participate in. It is noticed that the club has ambitions for the future and there is also a stable structure and organization behind it. Moreover, the team made a very big effort in the Allsvenskan during the last season. With some reinforcements on and off the pitch, I think the team will be very competitive next season, he said. on the club website.

Amo’s sporting director Emil Berggren confirmed the interest in Sevaljevic some time ago.

– Vasko is of course a prestigious acquisition for us. Not just because he is a versatile, deserving and recognized talented player. He is also a type of leader and a rigorous professional who demands a lot from those around him, which will lift the whole team, he told the club’s website when the transfer became a reality.
