The health minister has awarded 1,359 additional living quarters to doctors and dentists who did not qualify for specialization training in the procedures conducted from October 1 to 31 – the ministry told PAP Monday, stressing it was a record number.
The Minister granted additional residences to doctors and dentists who occupied the second highest places in the ranking, also taking into account the results of doctors who were not qualified for specialization training outside the residence.
In Dolnośląskie Voivodeship, 102 additional places were allocated, in Kujawsko-Pomorskie – 21, in Lubelskie – 75, in Lubuskie – 3, Łódzkie – 121, Małopolskie – 93, Mazowieckie – 386, Opolskie – 3, Podkarpackie – 27, Podlaskie 88, Śląskie – 238, Świętokrzyskie – 17, Warmińsko-Mazurskie – 12, Wielkopolskie – 115 and Zachodniopomorskie – 27.
A total of 3,567 doctors and dentists qualified for the residential mode specialization training in the 2021 fall qualification procedure, after allocating additional places.
The ministry has announced that information on qualification for specialization training in residential mode will be successively entered into the Medical Employee Education Monitoring System (SMK), while the lists of additional residencies assigned, including the application numbers, will be published by voivodes in the near future to dawn. This week, voivodes will also award additional non-residential places.
“Thanks to the grant of additional residence permits, all doctors and dentists for whom free training places were available in a particular voivodeship in units accredited to provide specialist training in a particular field of medicine were qualified for specialist training,” the Ministry of Health said.
