On the occasion of the 58th edition of the show, which brings together operators from all over the world and strategic players from the main companies promoting world tourism every year for three days, the Blue Oval unveils the new Tourneo Connect as a world preview, the versatile and connected Ford multi-activity vehicle, suitable for work and leisure.

It has a spacious and modular vam capable of accommodating up to seven passengers and is available in two different lengths. Available in the three trim levels Active, Titanium and Sport, the new Tourneo Connect takes on-board technology to the next level in the category of multi-activity vehicles for passenger transport, introducing a digital cockpit equipped with all the useful information for the driver and 19 driver assistance systems to ensure safety and comfort on board.

The new vehicle is available with a full range of engines, including the 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel versions with 185 hp, EcoBlue Hybrid with 48 V battery and Plug-in Hybrid with Geofencing technology, developed to improve air quality. Thanks to real-time location data, the Tourneo Custom automatically switches to electric mode when entering predefined areas, such as urban ZTLs. It is also possible to create personalized “green spaces” to use a zero emission guide even near places such as schools, playgrounds or depots.

Next to the new model, Ford exhibited the “giant” of the blue Oval for passenger transport. The Transit Minibus can accommodate up to 18 people and is equipped with a 170 HP EcoBlue diesel engine. At 6,704 mm, the Transit minibus is equipped with FordPass Connect, the integrated modem that allows you to always stay connected on board. The 18-seater is equipped with a wide range of driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control and automatic braking.
