Governor of the Moravian-Silesian region received successful representatives in the field of fire sports

Governor Ivo Vondrák welcomed the best firefighters from the Moravian-Silesian region. He thanked the representatives of the fire sport at the World Championship, which took place from September 8 to 16 in Saratov, Russia, as well as to the best representatives of the Moravian-Silesian region at the Championship of the Czech Republic of Association of Firefighters of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. HZS Director Vladimír Vlček also thanked the selected representatives.

Press spokesperson Nikola Birklenová from the governor's office department gradually introduced the representatives of firefighting sport.

At the World Fire Sports Championship, the Czech Republic was represented in the men's category by a team led by Jan Šimíček and coach Radim Juřena, both from the Moravian-Silesian Region Fire Service, Ostrava Territorial Department . The team members were three members of HZS MSK ÚO Ostrava Daniel Klvaňa, Pavel Krpec and Jan Vivial. The MSK women's team was represented by Veronika Krpcová and Karolina Vyvialová.

The women's team representing the Moravian-Silesian region of SDH Ostrava – Michálkovice won the Czech Republic Firefighting Sports Championship in the category of volunteer firefighters in Ústí nad Labem. The event was attended by Karolina Vyvialová, Veronika Krpcová, Klára Hrbáčová, Hana Gryčová, Anežka Švrčková, Julie Ondráčková, Martina Pekrová and Karolina Lefnerová, who also competed in the youth category.

“As the women's team of the volunteer fire brigade (SDH), we won the championship of the Czech Republic which took place in Ustí nad Labem. We participated in three disciplines: among women, it was the 100 m hurdles , 4x100m hurdles relay and fire attack We won first place in the excellent discipline of fire attack, where seven women compete as a team.

There were two of us from the region at the World Championship in Russia, Karolina Vyvialová and Veronika Krpcová. It was incredible there. We finished in second place behind the Russian team, who are very difficult to beat,” said Veronika Krpcová.

Members of the HZS MSK team very successfully represented the Moravian-Silesian region at the Championship of the Czech Republic in the men's category under the leadership of leader Jiří Niklo.

Kamil Bezruč won 2nd place in the basic event of the individual competition in the climb to IV. training tower floor. The other members Jakub Arvai, Richard Svačina, Adam Hrbáč, Martin Gryč, Aleš Masný and Tomáš Drobisz won: 1st place in the climb to IV. floor of the training tower, 2nd place in the 100 hurdles, 1st place in the 4 x 100 meter hurdles relay, 2nd place in fire attack. In the general order of teams of all disciplines, these fighters took 2nd place.

“In the category of volunteer firefighters – men's teams, the Moravian-Silesian region was represented by the volunteer fire brigade from Závišice: Tomáš Both, Roman Číp, Miroslav Arvai Jan Kuběna, Josef Kuběna and Florián Čech.
