Rome, Oct 21 (askanews) – Organized by DAO Spa and promoted by the Italian Sports Dance Federation (FIDS) as part of Sardinia Dancing Week, the WDSF World Sports Dance Championships take place in PalaPirastu from Thursday 21 to Sunday, October 24, for four rhythmic days of pure entertainment, with the best dancers of the World Dance Sport Federation from more than thirty countries.

Thursday October 21, the dances begin with the World WDSF PD Adult 10 dance; on Friday 22 October, the European titles WDSF Open Senior I Latini and Standard, WDSF Open Senior II Standard and World WDSF Senior IV Standard are up for grabs; Saturday 23 October, the WDSF Open Senior IV Standard World Championships and the WDSF Latin Amateurs European Championships; Sunday October 24 the “final dance” valid for the Standard World Championship WDSF Senior III.

The Sardinia Dancing Week opens on Thursday, October 21 at 3:00 p.m. at the PalaPirastu in Cagliari (via Rockefeller, 34) with the open conference of Latin American and standard dances. From Friday 22 to Sunday 24 October, the program of the World Dance Sport Championships will start at 9:00 a.m. The Village Sardinia Dancing Week will be organized on the ring-shaped ice rinks adjacent to the PalaPirastu.

STANDARD is a rehearsal that includes Waltz, Slow Fox, Tango, Viennese Waltz and Quickstep. LATIN dances include Samba, Cha cha cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive at a professional level. The 10 DANCE is the competition that includes standard and Latin dances, rewarding the most complete couple.
